Neglected. So, so neglected.

You guys. Why do I even have a blog? I put some stuff on instagram- that’s something, right? (makersgottamakewhitney or https://www.instagram.com/makersgottamakewhitney/ btw)

I need to set some goals.

I have a fun princess cake order coming up, I’m really trying to rally the troops so that I can get some video footage of it and get that YouTube channel going! Here’s hoping! My bestie and I are also going to be building and lettering some signs here in the next few weeks, so I’ll definitely be taking some photos and walking you guys through our process. In the mean time, here are some cakes that have kept me busy since the last post- enjoy!

This first one was a cake that I did after wating Koalipops on YouTube- that guy is too adorable and SO TALENTED. I freely acknowledge that mine is not quite as artistically perfect as his, but I just love it! It’s just so Pocahontas-y. I need to go back to Disney World and show her a picture, I’m positive that she’ll approve.

A few of these I took videos of instead of photos because you really just need to see the whole thing.

This one is a cake I did for my friend Candice’s “Magical” birthday party. As in, the theme was all things magical. And she gave me free reign! I like her.

Elsa’s hips don’t lie in this, my first ever, doll cake. I don’t know if you know this, but doll cakes don’t actually have very much cake in them. Like, if I made her proportionate, this cake would have only fed like 1/3 of the people at the party. So we made her full figured/pear shaped. Looks good on her.

My neighbors request a cake every few weeks for this or that occasion and they’re my favorite cove-mates (like, we live in a cove (cul-de-sac) together) so I always try to make it fancy. My husband was incensed that this was leaving the house before his chocoholic self could get a slice.

Moana is just… so great. I really love her. When someone asked me for a Moana birthday cake, I might have said yes a little tooooo enthusiastically. Also, that’s my oldest in the background eating some yogurt. #reallife

So anyway, that’s the recap! I solemnly swear to be a better blogger and not just post photo updates, but actually do some teaching/making on here. You have my word. Until then, lets all eat some cake.
